Gary Buckley Woolever The Source

This is long and it is meant to be. Because this is all I am ever going to say and whatever I say, can sit here for eternity as my side of the story.

This is about my former business partner, Gary Buckley Woolever. His nickname is Buckley. His aliases include Adam, D. Wilson, SCIOB, D. Meisner, and his personal favorite, Carma Izzabitch, along with at least ten rotating email addresses built from my name or the names of businesses I once owned. On TikTok I called him my stalker. That was emotionally accurate but not precise enough. So this is the one place I will be completely precise, and after this I will never feel the need to defend myself against him again. If I mention him anywhere else it will only be to give context to something I had to survive, and how I kept moving anyway.

He invested $440,000. Our business failed. He had far more involvement in that failure than he will ever admit. He sued me. And honestly, I cannot fault him for that. In the beginning I believe, in my heart, he just wanted his money back. But after losing early and repeatedly in his own lawsuit, something shifted in him. He decided he was willing to do anything to win, which meant he stopped being accountable for his own part in any of it.

But I was exactly the same way. I was scared out of my mind and too embarrassed to be honest with anyone, including myself. I lied when I should have been honest. I was honest when I should have said nothing. I said whatever I needed to say to escape the discomfort of facing him, his attorney, and the truth that I had not just failed to live up to what he hoped for. I had failed to live up to what I hoped for myself.

I had a real chance. We both believed I was going to be some badass hero who made us both rich fast. And I am not going to belittle what I was. I was a fucking badass. Top sales person at 22. Then five years ranked nationally in the top five as a lead account executive for a major wholesale finance company. Hundreds of millions in sales. That track record made me believe I knew everything, and that arrogance, the same arrogance that once made me unstoppable, turned me into a dreamer chasing ideas I was not equipped to execute. I was not a liar. I was not a fraud. I just was not ready for what that moment required of me.

What Gary Buckley Woolever deserved was this version of me. The one writing this. But if he is going to hold me accountable for my failures from back then, he has to find the courage to face his own as well.

After he decided to stop playing fair, he and his attorney coordinated with KOMO 4 News in Seattle to execute what they told me directly was a plan to ruin my reputation, remove my ability to defend myself, force me into prison, and win the lawsuit. Those are nearly their exact words. I do not know if I was too arrogant or too afraid to believe them, but I chose to ignore it and that decision cost me everything.

FUCK - I keep rewriting this section --in this part I have tried to take accountability for my own failures and there is this need still to protect myself and everything here shifts from just saying the truth to shifting blame to Gary, KOMO4, The WSJ and the NFLPA---- I keep doing that because I honestly do not know what is actually real or made up defense mechanism. Previous versions stated that I did not defraud him, and I stand by that, but I would then break down how much is fair to say was spent properly and how much I should take ownership for. I claim at least half I would say I can feel good about and the other half, looking back the only thing I have is my word that I was told it was ok to pay for a salary and expenses. I swore under oath on this and the fact is that there was money coming in and out that was not Garys and I didn't see a problem just mingling and letting an accountant one day figure it all out. That may seem absurd and maybe I am the only one in my 20s that didn't think something like that mattered. But the thought that actually made me want to work things out with Gary later was this one question I could not answer unconditionally, would Gary have approved such a large salary and expenses. My memory says yes, but reasonably I do not know. Now I paid back Gary a large sum, and in reality that should balance what I had concerns about myself. But I didn't just stop there when I had a chance, years later, I reached back out to Gary to see if I could make things a little bit more right --now I talk about this down below, and this paragraph is really just me talking things outloud and maybe that in itself is evidence of just how fucking complicated and ugly this has become. But in that is also the evidence of our character and our intentions. After everything he did, after everything I lost, repeatedly --- I didn't set out to ruin his life, or blame him for everything, though the average person would say I could, I just focused on me and when I had a little extra money and some real opportunity, I turned to him to try to put this behind us --as you will read below, he didn't just shoot that down, his disgusting next acts forced me to abandon a newly formed life that had success written all over it. Anyway --- I hope I can keep this section as is, but even now my mind wants to switch to a meaner version, and I guarantee, tomorrow my heart will want to do a softer one where I take the blame---its a never-ending mind fuck at times --and that is why I am doing this ---- to stop this bullshit once and for all and be done with Gary Buckley Woolever.

One specific note. I have no issue with his attorney, Bruce Danielson. I met him several times early on and I genuinely believe he was trying to find a peaceful settlement. In some strange way I think he even had my interests in mind. But I was too squirrelly to let him help me. I respected him so much it made me afraid of him, and fear made me say whatever I needed to say just to get out of the room. I was not trying to lie. I just had no idea how I would follow through on anything I promised. He was hired to do a job and he did a really good one.

Now let me explain how Gary Buckley Woolever got his default judgment, because this part matters.

It was not because the facts were on his side. It was not because he had an open and shut case. It is because I had no attorney for most of the lawsuit, and once KOMO 4 got involved I had no willpower left to keep being publicly humiliated. They waited until I was literally homeless on the streets. Then they moved. They got a default judgment loaded with language including the word fraud, language they now point to as if a court made findings about me based on evidence. That is not what happened.

Here is how civil court actually works. You make accusations. If the other person responds, the judge decides who is right. I did not respond. Not once in those filings did a judge look at their accusations and weigh them against my defense and rule against me. Every single thing in that judgment is there because they knew I was not showing up, they made their accusations into the silence, and the judge had no choice but to enter a default agreement. In civil court, a default judgment becomes a legal statement of fact as it pertains to that lawsuit. It does not mean it is true. It means no one was there to contest it. If that distinction confuses you, I understand. Imagine how it felt to live it.

They also got a bench warrant. Not because law enforcement requested one. Because they knew they could ask for it, knew I would not be there to respond, and knew they would get it. They wrote specific language into that warrant designed to make it read like a criminal arrest warrant. KOMO 4, the NFL Players Association, and the Wall Street Journal all took that language and ran with it. They called me a fugitive. They called me wanted. They cited the bench warrant as an arrest warrant. They knew what it actually was. I know they knew, because of how carefully they chose their words. That is not a misunderstanding of the law. That is a choice to bend the truth into something that functioned as a lie.

I am not exaggerating when I say that KOMO 4 and Gary's attorney coordinated to have a camera crew at my court cases and requested depositions not to gain new information, but to record me as I answered humiliating questions in front of a lens. Their tactic worked. After a while, I hit my limit and stopped showing up for court. I could have shown up anyway and should have. But they found my weakness and exploited it. I will hate that choice forever, because I would have won. Instead Gary was awarded a judgment of $970,000 that grew to nearly $2 million in interest in just a few years.

I left Seattle with nothing. No support. No income. Two suicide attempts behind me. I went to Chicago just trying to breathe. Gary and his attorney reached out within months on a brand new number they should not have been able to find, but they did. Their first words were: you cannot escape us. And even though I clearly had nothing, they told me to start paying or they would execute what they called Plan B — a repeat of Seattle. I could not go through that again so soon, so I did. I entered into a payment agreement and over the following year paid close to $200,000. While I was doing that, they told the judge I was not cooperating and secured the bench warrant. I eventually asked to pause the payments because the amount they kept increasing was impossible to sustain. Gary said no. Shortly after, the Wall Street Journal called me a fugitive on the run, citing KOMO 4, which had cited the bench warrant as an arrest warrant, and the story circled and circled until it became what everyone believed. For about three years, after once being covered by Bloomberg and the New York Post for dressing more professional athletes than any other designer, I could not get hired by anyone.

When I finally got back on my feet enough to try again, I hired one of the best mediators in Chicago and offered Gary $1 million over ten years. He turned it down. I went to $1.5 million. I offered to co-author a book about how two people find their way through something like this. I offered to appear on a television show he claimed to have and was willing to sign over my rights to help him secure both the TV and book deals. The mediator was as stunned as I was when Gary turned all of it down. That was the moment I understood there was nothing left I could do for him. He did not want resolution. His one unmovable demand was a non-disclosure agreement preventing me from ever speaking about him, revealing any messages, texts, screenshots or anything he had done. Meaning he could continue to make accusations, continue to send threats, and only he would have the power to release me to speak. Silencing me was his only goal. And for a long time, silent is what I was.

After turning down every opportunity for us to move on, he forced me into another deposition and tried to have me arrested. He knows how much my best friend who died by suicide means to me and how much I blame myself, and he used that. Not to settle. Just to antagonize. His attorney brought my friend up with a smug smile, and it was clear this had been discussed between them as a deliberate pressure point. It took everything in my power to stay in that chair. Then, as if on cue, the bailiff walked in to check if everything was okay — his repeated glances told me this was coordinated. That may sound like a conspiracy theory. But nothing Gary Buckley Woolever does surprises me anymore. Heading home that evening I could tell he was simply beginning the next phase. The stalking. The threats. His favorite line delivered with the confidence of someone who had done this before: I will take your silence as an act of defiance and I will escalate further — and you know I keep my promises. I knew I did not have the strength for another round of this, and shortly after I broke my lease, got rid of everything, and ran again — into an RV, telling myself things would eventually be okay.

They were not. Not while he was involved.

His wife has been part of this from the beginning and I want to state that clearly and factually and if I have to name her and provide the evidence I have, I will. Not because the gloves are off, but because I will defend myself with every last bit that I have from this point forward. There is a small chance I could be wrong about her, and once investigated, if I am, I will rescind this statement. However. The original recovery email address for Garys website cityguruinvestor was originally registered to her phone number. That changed when Gary changed it to janginvesting at ProtonMail  --- Protonmail is a known email for stalkers and fraudsters, which is interesting why Gary has so many of them and why he trained Jade to literally copy his tactics, which is to get a Protonmail, create a fake name, send a big threat of we will get you, I will find you, you will pay and repeat across different platforms. I swear they coordinate different days to give themselves breaks, but regardless, I do find this sickening to know that a 70 year old man with a government job that sells munitions to the Department of Defense is spending his free time time inciting this kind of behavior.  And for the record, he has been reported to the FBI and the Attorney General in his state had asked me to report him to local authorities, but I have never been hopeful with local police. It's nothing on them, they're just not trained for this.  Now to close out the topic on his wife. She recently decided to  follow me on TikTok using her maiden name on the account ( I was the only account she followed) likely because their other fake accounts had been blocked, but that was enough of a signal for me to include this here, because I do take that as an act of aggression and am not tolerating their fear tactics anymore--- after a decade of this, can anyone blame me? Now, I have deliberately left his family out of everything for this long because I do not think men should behave that way, even though Gary went after my family and anyone that I called a friend.

He mocked my father for volunteering with the Catholic Church after he retired, attempting to link him to clergy abuse scandals with no basis. He targeted one of my sisters and her mental health struggles.  What he understood, and used precisely, is that if he demonstrated he was willing to go after the people I loved, I would distance myself from them to protect them from him. And that is exactly what happened. He sent thousands of unmarked letters to people in my life directing them to his two websites, which quoted KOMO 4, the Wall Street Journal and the NFLPA as evidence of my fraud. When that did not work he turned to online harassment of anyone who showed me support.

The messages I have posted here and on TikTok are a small fraction of thousands of emails, texts and threats sent across twelve years. He has written that he will never stop hunting me. He has written that he has shackles waiting. He has mocked my suicide attempts directly. His most recent messages were as recent as this June of 2026. I have not responded to any message for the record.

The frequency of his threats, the timing of them, and the way he used every legal mechanism available to appear wherever I landed did break me mentally. It's hard feeling safe when someone refuses to let you have a moments rest in it. He crossed state lines and now international waters with his threats, promises and since he has what they like to tell me is a small army, I guess that would be called coordination with other perpetrators and my silence and refusal to respond to them only angered them more.

But here is the irony.

His most recent actions showed me exactly what I had been missing in my own life. And that clarity healed me faster than anything else has. Gary Buckley Woolever may matter deeply to someone. I genuinely hope he does. But he does not matter to me, and that is not spite. That is me finally understanding that some people cannot heal their own lives while spending all of their time focused on someone else's.

If he reaches out to you, or if someone directs you to his websites at cityguruinvestor or investwithjang, feel free to read what they say, even if it is under an alias. Because unlike what they did to me, I don't need to silence anyone to have my voice be heard.

Now with all of that said, I just realized a very interesting truth  ----  Gary Buckley Woolever did not ruin my life. The NFL Players Association, the Wall Street Journal, and KOMO 4 News did.  He was a pawn. I was the subject and though I may not be a king, I am stronger than Gary Buckley Woolever, The NFL Players Association, the Wall Street Journal and KOMO4 News combined.
